School Business Affairs September 2019 SCHOOL BUSINESS AFFAIRS | SEPTEMBER 2019 7 Meet the dedicated team members who make things happen for you and for the school business profession. Meet the ASBO International Headquarters Staff By David J. Lewis executive director’s message S chool business officials often are characterized as professionals who work behind the scenes, quietly ensuring the more visible areas of school district operations function efficiently and effectively. Yet they also are a critical part of the district leadership and proudly take their place at the table when difficult decisions must be made. The same can be true of the ASBO Interna- tional headquarters staff. These professionals work hard on the stage and behind the curtain to create the quality professional development resources and activities that support ASBO International members and the school busi- ness management profession. The organization chart may associate each staff member with a specific department—executive office, educa- tion, recognition, membership, marketing and communications, finance and administration, events, certification, corporate partnerships, and government and public affairs—but don’t be fooled; there are no silos in this association. Each and every staff member works cross- departmentally to ensure our members have everything they need to become more effective leaders. ASBO International has a dedicated and talented staff. These are the people who make things happen for you.
